Our Story and Studio Practice

Leaf & Glass Florarium began with a simple idea: indoor greenery can be designed to be both exquisite and easy to care for. Based in central London, our studio brings together horticultural knowledge and refined design to create closed and open florariums that suit modern interiors. We prioritise sustainable materials, locally sourced plants, and minimal packaging. Each florarium is composed with attention to plant compatibility and the light conditions of the intended space. We pair mosses, ferns, air plants, and miniature tropicals with hand-selected substrate layers to create balanced micro-ecosystems that remain attractive with minimal maintenance.

Design Philosophy

Our design approach is plant-first. When crafting a florarium we assess environmental factors such as ambient light, humidity, and the client's routine. These observations guide the selection of species and vessel type to ensure longevity and low intervention. We favour closed systems where appropriate, because they recycle moisture and reduce watering frequency. For open displays we choose hardy combinations that tolerate regular airflow and lower humidity. Each project includes a care guide tailored to the chosen plants and an optional maintenance schedule for customers who prefer a hands-off experience.

Our Team & Workshops

Horticulture Specialists

Our horticulturists design plant palettes for resilience and aesthetics, carrying out moisture balances and species compatibility checks before final assembly.
